On one side we have geocentrists (often labelled as flat earthers) that always mention the ice wall and the existence of a physical barrier that is responsible for Earth’s air pressure without sufficient evidence. Many of them are motivated by religious texts. Many of them wrongly claim that relative density and buoyancy acts as a full replacement for gravity. This is clearly not the case! On the other side, we have the heliocentrists claiming that all the long distance water observations that have changed the minds of millions is simply due to a huge misunderstanding of refraction. They claim to have observations to prove curvature, but they have no explanation for how they themselves are accounting for refraction. Who is telling the truth? Are you new to the topic of long distance observations? If yes, I highly suggest this video of the Rampion wind farm. Now what if instead we actually focused on more digestible claims that are easily falsified instead of just going around in circles with refraction or no refraction ambiguity? The globe falsification claims above have huge implications to determine which team is actually on the right track. We need to put our confirmation biases aside and make scientific progress on these claims. It still blows my mind that even after a decade of debating, no one took the time to properly test basic falsification claims. I think a decade of debating is long enough. Time to end it with science.
